Disappearance of the Indonesian submarine KRI Nanggala 402
On Wednesday April 21, the Indonesian Navy had lost contact with the KRI Nanggala 402 submarine on which a crew of 53 men was embarked.
On Sunday April 25 the wreck of the submarine, broken into three parts, was spotted on the seabed off Bali. The entire crew perished in this tragedy.
The families of La Minerve wanted to show their solidarity by sending the message below to the families of the disappeared through the Indonesian ambassador to France:

“It is in the warmest way that I received your letter of condolence and solidarity for the families of the brave crew of KRI Nanggala 402. It was with the greatest sadness that, after numerous searches and attempts to rescue, we had to officially announce on April 24, 2021 that the KRI Nanggala 402 had sunk. I have the honor to inform you that we have conveyed your heartwarming words of condolence to Jakarta, for presentation to the various families of the KRI Nanggala 402 crew.
