In Toulon a commemorative ceremony of the 50th anniversary of the disappearance of the Minerva was held in front of the National Monument of Submariners. Many civil and military personalities were present, including the mayor of Toulon, Mr. Huber t Falco, parliamentarians and regional elected officials, the prefect of Var, the maritime prefect of the Mediterranean or the admiral commanding the naval action force . A mass was then celebrated in the Saint-Louis church in Toulon.

On the sidelines of the ceremony,2 letters were received from the Presidency of the Republicto respond to a double request for declassification of the Minerve file which was still covered by defense secret and to respond to the request for official representation of the state at the ceremony.
The ceremony received unusual press coverage.

On January 27, 2018, a ceremony co-organized by the Amicale AGASM Minerve and the Association "Aux Marins" was organized at the Pointe Saint Mathieu memorial in Pays d'Iroise in Finistère, to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of this tragic disappearance. .

The City organized, on January 27, in collaboration with the UAMMAC 59/62, a ceremony in honor of the two sailors nordists (including an Amandinois Patrick Messiaen and Daniel Leprête), who disappeared at sea. 50 years ago following the sinking of the Minerve submarine of the French Navy off the coast of Toulon (52 victims).

The municipality organized a ceremony of remembrance at the war memorial on Saturday January 27 at 11 a.m., in honor of Alain GUÉRIN, resident of the commune of Equemauville, who was on board the Minerve on January 27, 1968.
