Violation of the MNSM

Who would accept seeing commercial or festive stalls set up on a grave? No one .
Yet this is the distressing spectacle we witnessed this May in Toulon, in front of the National Submariners' Monument.
For these sailors lost at sea, this monument is not just a stele: it is their only cemetery. Their loved ones—wives, children, brothers, and sisters—still come here to remember them today. Their names do not belong to a distant past; they still resonate in our hearts.
To transform this place of remembrance into the backdrop for an event that could have taken place anywhere else is an absolute lack of respect. It is a desecration, a violation.
The recklessness of those who allowed this is appalling. The respect due to our sailors and their families is non-negotiable. This outrage must never happen again.
