Title 2

Commemorative plaque on the Ploermel War Memorial

February 26, 1968

Commander LV Fauve was the first and for a long time the only person to have his name inscribed on the war memorial in his hometown of Ploërmel on 26 February 1968.

He owed this to his uncle and godfather, Robert Guillois, who was a municipal councillor there and the son of Louis Guillois, himself the commander's grandfather and former mayor of the town from 1904 to 1952.

In 2022, a new ceremony will take place when the plaque, damaged by the years, is replaced. See HERE
